The funds were announced in April ahead of the reopening of schools and were intended to support Free Primary Education, junior school and secondary education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">21 percent decrease <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means the third-term allocation is approximately Sh4.9 billion lower, a decrease of about 21 per cent from the second-term disbursement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reduction comes as schools begin the nine-week third term, which is the final term of the 2026 academic year.
