Kenyan music stars Bensoul and Odongo Swagg are set to headline the entertainment line-up at the Dala Sevens after-parties this weekend in Kisumu, as organizers prepare for one of the biggest sporting and entertainment events on the National Sevens Circuit.

The performances are expected to draw thousands of rugby fans and music lovers, with organizers promising a vibrant mix of live music, local culture and fan experiences aimed at boosting the city’s tourism and nightlife.

The Dala Sevens tournament has grown into more than just a rugby competition, attracting leading musicians and entertainers while creating business opportunities for traders, hotels and transport operators in the lakeside city.

Event organizers say this year’s entertainment program is designed to celebrate Kenyan talent and provide fans with memorable performances after the day’s sporting action. The inclusion of Bensoul, known for his soulful Afro-pop sound, alongside energetic rapper Odongo Swagg is expected to be one of the major attractions of the weekend

Industry players have welcomed the move, noting that collaborations between sports and entertainment continue to strengthen Kenya’s creative economy by giving local artists larger audiences while increasing visitor numbers at major sporting events.
