The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has revised fuel prices for the period running from August 15 to September 14, 2026, with diesel recording a ksh 5 reduction per litre.
Under the new pricing, petrol will remain unchanged at Sh214 per litre, while diesel will retail at Sh217 per litre, down from Sh222.
The price of kerosene has also remained unchanged at Sh191 per litre.The changes will take effect from Saturday, August 15, and remain in force until September 14.
The revised prices are expected to affect transport and operating costs, particularly for businesses and motorists who rely heavily on diesel.
EPRA reviews fuel prices monthly based on factors including changes in international petroleum prices and the exchange rate, among other costs incurred in the importation and distribution of petroleum products.
